Montpellier / Déconfinement : la distribution gratuite des masques débute

Avec le déconfinement, le masque est devenu une impérieuse nécessité. La Ville de Montpellier a débuté ce mercredi matin la distribution gratuite aux habitants. Pour en bénéficier, vous devez réserver un créneau sur le site internet de la Ville ou par téléphone. « 36 guichets sont ouverts sur 18 sites cette semaine », a indiqué Philippe Saurel qui fera évoluer le dispositif, « 42 guichets seront ouverts le 18 mai et 44 le 27 mai pour une couverture totale ».

La distribution préférée aux envois

« Il est très compliqué d’envoyer à chaque Montpelliérain un masque dans sa boîte aux lettres. Si je fais ça, je ne sers pas tous les Montpelliérains. Je ne sais pas combien de personnes habitent dans chaque appartement. Sans compter que certains malins peuvent ouvrir les boîtes aux lettres pour prendre les masques et les revendre », explique Philippe Saurel. Le maire de Montpellier répond ainsi aux critiques survenus après l’embouteillage sur le site internet de la Ville et le standard téléphonique.
